How Reformation Can Step Up Their Facebook Game

Hi y’all! So, for my last quarter at Drexel, I decided to take a Social Media class. Being a Management Information Systems major, I thought this might be a little out of my comfort zone, but I actually ended up enjoying it! Crazy, right? I mean, what’s not to like? I get to use Instagram and Snapchat DURING class hah!

For my first assignment, I was instructed to do a social media audit for a brand of my choice. Without a second thought, I chose Reformation. I have been a loyal customer to them ever since they first emerged, and I absolutely love everything about them. Who doesn’t?

However, when I was conducting my audit, I realized that Reformation’s PR team is doing terribly! A brand’s social media account and their engagement can either make customers fall in love with them or be a deal breaker. Since I love Reformation so much, I decided to make their lives easier and point out three ways Reformation can up their social media game:

1

1. Don’t ignore us 😦

According to my analysis, Reformation does not engage with their customers in the comments section! There were numerous unanswered questions on Facebook and Instagram. My advice: they should use gifs and memes to promote fun interaction with the followers.

2. Do not post at bizarre times

You won’t believe it, but they made a post at 12:30 AM, on a weekday! Posting at a weird time results in having few likes and comments, and no brand would like that, right? My advice: follow the article “best time to post on social media” by Sprout Social.

3. Do not post the same content across all your social media accounts

I noticed that Reformation posts the same exact picture, with the same caption on all their accounts. This is not advisable by many experts as it seems repetitive to the customers. If the same picture needs to be uploaded across platforms, then at least the caption must be altered.

Let us know what you think 🙂

This was my little take on Reformation’s social media accounts. How else do you think they can improve their engagement? Also, who should we audit next? Ann Taylor? Revolve? Idk! Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
