Hi again. Honestly, I was not expecting such lovely responses for my previous post about Reformation’s Facebook page. Thank you everyone who shared and commented on my post, you guys literally made my day! If you haven’t already read my previous post yet, here’s the link, do let us know what you think.

In my previous post, many of you requested me to compare Reformation’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and since I am a big Ref fan, I thought why not? We all adore Reformation and would love to see them do well, right? So, to make their lives a little easier, I have come up with three common mistakes that Ref is making across all their social media accounts;
1. Consistency can change the game
I realized that Reformation does not have a specific posting pattern for their social media accounts. As mentioned in my friend Gabby’s blogpost, who audited Reformation’s Twitter, they either post two to three times a day, or don’t post in weeks (that’s crazy, right?). Additionally, Reformation’s Facebook account posts at odd and unpredictable times. For example, they made a post at 12:30 a.m. on Facebook on a Thursday. My advice: Follow Sprout Social article “Best Times to Post on Social Media” to check the best day and time to post for a retail store.
2. Communicate
The common thread across Reformation’s social media accounts was low user engagement. I hate to say it, but Reformation needs a better PR team to represent them. There were numerous unanswered comments on all their social media accounts. This not only leaves a bad impression of the brand, but also demotivates a potential buyer from buying.My advice: FollowHootsuite’s article “14 social media best practices you should follow in 2019.”
3. Have better captions maybe?
My friend, Grace, who audited Reformation’s Instagram, mentioned in her blogpost that Reformation needs to have captions that can grab customers’ attention immediately. Having a better caption encourages engagement and more followers. For example, there were some posts with either no caption or they just had a link.My advice: Have funny or engagement driven captions. Also, follow Sprout Social article “5 Social Media Best Practices Every Marketer Must Follow” to read more about how to generate better captions.
